Machh Mani

Machh Mani stone is a type of pearl that is formed inside the mantle tissue of a mollusk, rather than in the shell itself. It is created when a small piece of foreign material, such as a grain of sand, becomes lodged in the mantle tissue and irritates the mollusk. In response to the irritation, the mollusk begins to secrete layers of nacre around the foreign object, eventually forming a pearl. Fish pearls are typically smaller and less valuable than other types of pearls, such as those found in oysters. They are often used in jewelry and other decorative items.
